Locality team building- 80+ participants (March/April 2013)

I have learnt a lot about everyone’s professional heritages and organisational identity. It’s helped me to understand exactly where people are coming from. This has helped me to plan and find solutions

Today has supported me to talk to people properly. It has given me new motivation. This will improve our communication, help us work together more effectively, and will benefit all service users

Coaching and mentoring

2 manager participants on NPQICL programme
I don't know where to begin to say thank you. You made me realise from our first mentor meeting how I was feeling. A year on I feel now I have been enlightened and have the confidence to believe in my leadership. I thank YOU for giving me the opportunity to develop my skills and further more to support the children and families who are at the forefront of our work. I could not have started this journey without you.

I have found all our sessions to be excellent. They gave me time out to discuss my working practice and enabled me to have a deeper reflection about myself as a person and how my skills affect my practice. This has contributed to the confidence I now feel.

Research and Development:

The evaluation report provided invaluable insight it exceeded our expectations and was delivered to budget within the tight timescales given.
Sophie Thompson, Black Country Consortium

The report writing was excellent.
David Galliers, Partnership Director

Our team Away Day Report was very informative and constructed in a clear format. The use of reference to evidence our practice gives added validity to this document. As a locality it has reinforced our feelings about how we have developed, and having the opportunity to see this constructed in such a professional way is absolutely brilliant.
Shauna Thomas, Cole Heath Locality

Collaborative working

The development of collaborative working between agencies and Council departments was especially important. Kay demonstrated really effective negotiating skills to achieve “buy in” when conflicting interests were involved.
Ann Thomas, manager Sandwell Council, Economic Regeneration

Service Improvement

act-uk’s work was of the highest standard. Working efficiently and with great care with the agencies; most importantly , being able to build trust and openness with the clients of the Partnership. Excellent support was given to the Senior Managers involved in the initiative.
